Testimonies

Today is 18th/04/2016-sodac member  [The CEO] happen to visit a village called Gadumile found in Kaliro district Mr. Fred Edward Kabogoza went to families who had children with disabilities and this is the interview  he made with these families

The first family explained that:

This had a boy whose name is Trevor Mukesi who was born 2011 [5 years old]  his mother  was by  then 15 years old and the father  was 25 years old. Trevor was born with disabilities whereby he is lame from the head to the toe after a while his father abandoned him saying “I don’t such kind of children” and his mother left him with his grandmother whose name is Namuleme Aidah who is 39 year old

Trevor  is being  fed with un  healthier  food such as dried  sweet potato  and beans  throughout  the all day..in  the morning  when they  wake  up they  give him black tea and they  leave  him alone at home  and they  for  digging in the garden .Trevor’s life is not good at all, he is too slim and he has remained with bones only  ever  someone  who  has HIV/AIDS  looks better than him

: Observation

According to the observation made, Trevor’s life can come to normal but it is just because of poor feeding given to him. We can help Trevor by buying him staffs like food which can help him to gain energy and be able to walk again

Trevor also sleeps on an empty mat which is laid on the ground, they cover him with his grandmother’s clothes and his brothers don’t want to sleep with him at night because of his disability. He is given Tea in the morning and he gets his lunch in the evening at around 5pm

The feeding is hard because his grandmother has to first mingle the sweet potato to an extent where Trevor can manage to eat it and he doesn’t eat like the other normal children, he sucks it like a baby on the breasts

I looked at the way Trevor was being fed and I felt pity for him, he is really leaving a hard and painful life

Trevor doesn’t have clothes, blanket mattress and he sleeps badly on one side
