What specific benefits will the child sponsor receive?

The child you sponsor through SODAC will receive opportunities and services that are not available to most of the world’s poorest children these include;

• Education, clothing and medical care.

• Psychosocial support.

• Care and support.

• Shelter and nutritionally balanced meals.

 

How long should my sponsorship last?

Our desire is to see these children actively supported up to the age of 25years. If we determine your child no longer requires our support or if a child moves out of SODAC to an area where our program operates, we will contact you regarding sponsoring another child if you express the interest.

 

How can I communicate with my child?

You may write letters to you child. In our country office will serves as a translation in case there is a language barrier we will translate both coming and going. Your child will always be encouraged to write to you at least three times a year through letters, photos, and an updates on their progress both in school and their social wellbeing.

 

What other opportunities will I have to learn about the child I am helping?

You will receive periodic updates in our programs and the child you are sponsoring. You will also receive our general updates on what is happening in the SODAC family. Through this we believe you will have a better understanding of your sponsored child’s culture and life. You may even decide to visit your child on.

 

Can I visit the child I sponsor?

How does SODAC ensure that my support actually benefits the child?

We have competent staffs at SODAC that make sure our programs are operating and carried out and the programs we implement are in line with the legal and institutional framework of our government. We strict financial accountability guidelines in place to insure that funds are appropriately used.

 

Does all $38, $40 or $...... go directly to the child sponsored?

Your donations will go into the children’s fund for the village in which your child lives, the money may not specifically be spent on your child but they receive the service/benefits in that program through your contributions. It is our desire to meet the needs of all children in each of our programs.

 

If I must discontinue my child sponsorship, what happens to the child I am helping?

If you need to discontinue your child sponsorship, we will immediately look for a new sponsor for your child and continue the child’s sponsorship support without interruption.

 

How much does it cost to sponsor a child?

If you choose to sponsor a child, the cost is only $38, $40 or……per month.
